Funds Projects in West Africa

About Hope for West Africa

In 2005, two ordinary American women and three of their young adult children volunteered at Faith Alive Hospital in Jos, Nigeria. Forever changed by what they saw, they returned home to suburban Maryland determined to help.

In Nigeria, life is focused on survival in the face of deadly diseases and a limited supply of medicine and food. What Nigerians do have is faith and joy that transcends their circumstances and welcomes the foreign visitor into their hearts. Friendships endure over oceans and time.

Hope for West Africa Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded to provide a way for you to be involved and perhaps one day volunteer in Nigeria.

Hope for West Africa Foundation works in partnership with charities in the region to serve those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. We establish a personal relationship with the founders of each organization and work with them on a project by project basis. See our partners

By directly funding individual proposals, we ensure that your donation will go directly to cover a most pressing need. Our goal is to use more than 95% of donations to directly fund programs.

Hope for West Africa volunteers visit every site and build connections with other organizations to reach our common goal: long term solutions through infrastructure, technical expertise, meeting medical and nutritional needs, education and Hope.
