Social Support

Hope for West Africa Social Support Programs assists partners in establishing and maintaining programs that help individuals in poverty and other bleak situations to get back on their feet.

Some of the projects that HFWA has helped to support include  the following activities:

Education and Vocational Skills: 

  • Faith Alive Foundation - Nigeria: 
    • Vocational skills classes offered to patients in need of marketable skills in Computer training, Sewing, Knitting, Woodworking and more
    • Scholarships for Orphans to attend school
  • Anawim Home:
    • Vocational Skills classes offered to pregnant young girls, unwed young mothers and others in need in Cooking, Baking, Hair-braiding, Sewing, Knitting, Cloth Dying, and more
    • Home for young women in need who are attending vocational classes
    • Scholarships for orphans to addend school
  • St. Pius X School:
    • Classroom and Library furnishings, encouraging students to stay in school
    • Support of a printer and office supplies to create schoolwork for the children

Feeding Programs:

  • Faith Alive Foundation - Nigeria
    • Support of the FANOL (Faith Alive Necessities of Life) Food Bank which provides emergency food and goods to patients in need
  • Anawim Home:
    • Support of emergency food needs for Anawim outreach
    • Support of cooking, baking classes for residents of Anawim Home
