Nativity Team Volunteers in August at Faith Alive and the Anawim Home
9.29.08 - During the weeks that twelve Nativity members spent in Abuja and Jos, the group worked with dozens of children and adults to provide both physical treatment and an emotional lift. From soccer games with the children at the Anawim Home in Abuja to home based care visits to the patients of Faith Alive Hospital in Jos, the group was touched by the hope, joy, and generosity expressed by those with which it worked. Counseling sessions and the discipleship classes at Faith Alive Hospital allowed the group to connect with patients on an extremely personal and intimate level. In Abuja, the group was energized and joyfully inspired by the work of the Sisters of the Poorest of the Poor and the children at the Anawim Home. Moving forward, it is clear that both organizations need our continued support, both physically and monetarily. Lives are saved daily by the work done by these communities and are a testament to the success of this foundation and the generosity of its extremely supportive donors.
